AVIX 4.8.17

We are thrilled to announce the release of AVIX 4.8.17 (download here). While the quantity of the updates may seem modest, rest assured that the quality is not compromised. As we announce this new release, we will also hint at the fact that we’re in the last stages of this generation of AVIX, and behind the scenes, our team is working on what will be the most significant release in our history. Yes, we have some very exciting times ahead. But for now:

Here are the highlights of the latest updates.

Priority of document default path: AVIX now respects the order of the document default path in the preferences. That means that the path to a document – K:\Common\Pedal Car\movie1.mp4 is divided in a default path – K:\Common\ and a relative path – Pedal Car\movie1.mp4.

By dividing the path into default and relative components, we provide an advantage for future network drive restructures.

SMED for analysis with many tasks: For users dealing with many tasks, AVIX now offers an option to generate SMED-charts with up to 30,000 pixels. This enhancement ensures readability even with a high number of tasks, with the ability to customize width and height per resource in the print wizard.

UAS Time Analysis with MTM-UAS Standard Operations Assembly: AVIX now supports the MTM-UAS Standard Operations Assembly in UAS time analysis, offering time codes for specific assembly activities. A word of caution: proper training is essential before using time codes to ensure accurate and effective utilization.

Expanded Unit Support: AVIX now supports additional units, including Gallons and Quarter. The update also includes the capability for seamless conversion between units, providing greater flexibility in your analyses.

Enhanced Control Plan Filtering: The control plan filter has been improved, allowing users to choose between viewing rows that require a control or seeing all rows that have a control.

FMEA VDA Improvements: Experience enhanced functionality in FMEA VDA with improved copy/paste capabilities for function nets and failure nets. These refinements contribute to a smoother workflow, allowing you to focus on what matters most.

Stay tuned for more exciting news, and thank you for being a part of the AVIX community!
