Can AVIX FMEA handle both Design FMEA (D-FMEA) and Process FMEA (P-FMEA)?

In the AVIX FMEA perspective, you can choose to work with either Design FMEA separately, or together with Process FMEA, as well as the opposite, Process FMEA on its own or together with Design FMEA. The benefit of creating both the Design FMEA and the Process FMEA in AVIX is that you can reuse the requirements, failure modes, functions, and special characteristics between the Design and Process FMEA. When you display the work instructions in AVIX Shop floor viewer, you will get the SC and CC printed on the station and task where it’s needed.

What standards does AVIX FMEA support, and how does it comply with AIAG and VDA methodologies?

The AVIX FMEA perspective can handle the classic FMEA, used in most industries outside of automotive. We also have special forms included in AVIX FMEA to support the AIAG/VDA version 1, as well as the AIAG version 4. If you have a specific need for a special template for your FMEA, we can also customize templates that suit your needs.

Is AVIX FMEA customizable to specific organizational needs and processes?

AVIX FMEA can be customized to your specific needs, both in the template grid and in the evaluation template, meaning that you can define your own scale and classification for your FMEA. As an example, instead of a 1-9 scale, you can have low, medium, and high for Severity, occurrence, and detection. You can also add your own clarification rules to simplify the evaluation process.
